Some of us are fortunate to have the necessities of life. We may not be wealthy, but we have roofs over our heads and are able to drink clean water and have a couple of meals everyday. You will be surprised to know the massive number of people in this world who are far from satisfying these basic needs of life. The situation is even more dire in developing countries in Africa and Asia where social welfare programs are minimal or even nonexistent in most areas. The most unfortunate part is the suffering of children in these areas. These children are living in deplorable conditions and are in situations that are no fault of their own. Increasing havoc being wreaked by the effects of climate change and the aftermath effects of COVID-19 pandemic are making an already bad famine situation even worse in the Sub-Saharan African regions. According to the United Nations, over 282 million people face chronic hunger in Africa.
Senam is making a difference in the lives of many people in Africa. Being a small organization, Senam may not be able to solve the problem at a macro level, but we are changing lives one person at a time. We feed orphaned children and support those who are in school. We help single mothers and windows with seed money to empower them to start and run their own businesses. We donate clothing items (both new and used) to families, and we donate medical equipment (wheelchairs, blood pressure monitoring devices etc.) and medicines to sick and disabled people. These are just a few of the activities we are involved in. Our efforts are currently focused in rural areas in the West African country of Ghana, but we have plans to extend our work to other countries in the region.
It is our desire to collaborate with anyone who is interested in supporting our efforts or working with us to reach and help more people.

Senam Child Impact empowers children to pursue education as an avenue to break the cycle of generational poverty. Thousands of individuals have chosen to support these children through our global sponsorship program. After decades of sponsoring children, it is exciting to hear the stories of graduates who have accomplished their professional goals and returned to their local communities to inspire the next generation.
In many Child Impact locations publicly sharing the gospel is difficult. One of the most valuable outcomes of sponsoring a child at a Christian school is that they have the opportunity to be introduced to Jesus and His deep love for them. It is remarkable to show children who have experienced so much pain that there is a God who cares for them. These children will often share their new love for the Lord with their family, friends, and community. The hope that Jesus offers is extended beyond the one child who is sponsored!
A few years ago, Child Impact initiated a project called, “Child Rescue.” The goal is to develop solutions that give exploited children an opportunity to heal and chase their dreams. Our global rescue operations focus on solutions for abandoned babies, child marriage, female genital mutilation, sexual exploitation, forced begging, gang recruitment, orphans with disabilities, forced child labor, and child trauma.
